First, we ship asap - Shipping packages quickly is a very high priority - Same day whenever possible.
Second, we do not profit on shipping charges. We pay a 13% commission to PayPal / eBay on the shipping charges you pay. Reasonable shipping costs are very important to being competetive on overall pricing - It's in our best interest to charge as little as possible for shipping.
If you ever pay too much for shipping, we will refund any substantial overage. Don't be surprised to receive a small refund if we are able to save a few dollars by using flat-rate options.
Because we receive a small discount on certain shipping services, it may actually be a bit cheaper to ship, say, via USPS Priority Mail (1-3 day with free insurance) than the slower, (3-10 day with no free insurance) USPS Parcel Select. We reserve the right to upgrade shipping services whenever possible.
When you're looking at the 'calculated shipping costs' in the listing, the discounts we receive & will ultimately pass along to you don't show up, so please send us a message with your zip/postal code & country (if not in the US). We will quickly respond with a custom, clickable offer with the lowest possible shipping costs. If you accept the offer, please wait for an updated invoice before completing payment.
