The bank monogram logo is also shown on the right. The banknotes reverse displays Arabica coffee berries and in the background is an image of the Mount Nyiragongo volcano erupting. To protect against counterfeiting, the banknote bears a solid security thread and a watermark that shows a pattern of okapi heads.
