No operating manual but there is an operating guide on the inside of the casing cover. 

 Bulb is not working. Not a Super 8 Projector. This projector is also not a sound projector.   

This all metal projector is unusual because it has a very early remote feature called a Roto Remote which is attached to the projector by a long cord. The remote has an internal gyroscope mechanism that allows you to control the projector "Forward", "Still", "Reverse" or "Off" all by using your wrist to tilt it in the particular direction. It was the first of it's kind! It has easy to use automatic threading. Remote and gears work!

 Very heavy, sturdy projector.
