ATLAS V PATCH AV-065 NROL-61 BOOSTER MISSION TO LAUNCH SATELLITE VEHICLE INTO SPACE 

THIS IS A 4" PATCH AND IS IN MINT CONDITION.

The lotus is a symbol of perfection in various cultures, and it is for this reason that the L-61 mission is a stylized lotus: the satellite will embody perfection once it enters its intended orbit, which is represented by the way the lotus surrounds the world.
The black background of the patch is an allegory for the near-vacuum and near-total darkness of space. Also used are the 5 SLS’s five iconic stars in a rough chevron formation, a salute to the 5 SLS for providing un-paralleled mission assurance to the Atlas launch vehicle for this and all other missions that are flown out of CCAFS.
The placement of the Atlas logo in the US shows how this mission is for the benefit of the nation overall.
Finally, the Atlas vehicle number completes the description of this mis-sion and the patch that commemorates it.
