Minor damage due to binders-error at foot of the inner hinge resulting in a bit of tear on first two leaves. Dust jacket in clear archival sleeve. 743 illustrations. [383] pages. 10.5 x 10.5 inches.  

Lynd Ward supervised the design of Storyteller Without Words and contributed the text, describing his methods of working, the history of woodcuts, and the goal of his art. The large scale plates reproduce his six wordless novels in their entirety, and also include his bookplates, greeting cards, and a large selection of individual prints, many published here for the first time.
