A true lateral thinker and a restless lover of the truth, Heinrich von Kleist belongs to the greats of German literature. Not that many people thought so during his lifetime, however, despite glowing reviews from Wilhelm Grimm.

All nine of his short stories can now be enjoyed on a single page. In honor of Kleist’s audaciouness, and in celebration of the ambivalent relationships and split personalities that dominate his narratives, we’ve detonated the classic book format. By doing so, we hope to have brought some order to the contradictory world of Heinrich von Kleist.
