Welcome to Zeiss Galleries!

10" W x 7.5" L x 2.75" H (at widest points)

A truly beautiful antique off-white serving bowl, made in England or Germany, from the 19th century. Perfect for spring with its basket of flowers and spring colors. The reticulated edges look like a lattice in a garden and are decorated with blue, purple and mauve/pink flowers with black, green and yellow accents.

The mark is a crown with six points, and neither of two good appraisers could pin it down. One appraiser stated that the town of Capodimonte, Italy, didn't have a maker who used a six-pointed crown and that the bowl (and its matching platter) is probably from Germany or England.

Condition: Good antique condition. I see 4 visible cracks, there may be more, please use zoom function! There are two cracks along the rim, about 3 inches from each other. See the collage photo of each crack individually and then together. On one of the twisted handles there are two cracks on the underside. See photo.

What I love about this bowl and the matching platter is that they could never be mistaken for machine made. Check out how the twisted handle is attached to the bottom of the bowl - love it!

Purchase this antique floral lattice serving bowl, just in time for spring! If you want both the platter and the serving bowl, message me for a discount.
