First edition published by Hodder, London, in 1934. Provenance: from recent provincial bookseller’s stamp to upper right of flyleaf / ffep; free from free from further permanent inscription and markings to the text.

Although interior condition is overall good, because this original letterpress book is old, it does display minor signs of use and age — such as the usual discolouration to old paper — consistent with a printed object of this vintage. All 312 pp main text + publisher’s list at rear are complete and otherwise correct.
