DESCRIPTION OF ITEM

item as show, from a large collection of items, this is from a large group of flyers picked up in 1998 at the
Boskone science fiction convention in Boston, usually Kennett dated all his items but he did not seem to date most of this group, you are considering the item shown only, i show the entire item, all sides and pages so you can see the exact condition, some of the items i am listing are possibly the only surviving one from the convention. i guarentee that this item is original and was picked up in 1998 at the convention by Kennett Neily, so cool.  you will be happy with this item. info in title about the specific item.

Boskone is an annual Science fiction convention ("con") run by the New England Science Fiction Association (NESFA) in Boston, Massachusetts. In the words of the convention organizers, "Boskone is a regional Science Fiction convention focusing on literature, art, music, and gaming (with just a dash of whimsy)". It is held every February, in Boston. The name is a reference to the classic Lensman series by E. E. Smith, in which "Boskone" is a council of villains, and also a name for their civilization. The obvious name for a con in Boston would, of course, be "Boscon"; the similarity was noticed and embraced. Continuing the trend, when a new Boston-area convention was formed, the organizers of that event named it Arisia.

THIS IS  A GREAT item from the amazing "White Mountain Collection" from the collector Kennett Neily, you may have heard of his amazing comics, well this is one of his other items, know for being date stamped (or written) the day he purchased (province) them and left in usually unused condition, some of these joke/gag or magic items have some storage wear as shown .

WHY HAVE HIS COMICS SOLD FOR SO MUCH MONEY: CONDITION, CONDITION, CONDITION--and look at these books, WOW...

In 1984 a man approached Jerry Weist, owner of "The Million Year Picnic" comic shop in Cambridge, Massachusetts, with a small sampling of comics from his collection. This initial meeting was the hobby's introduction to what is now referred to as the White Mountain Collection. Few collections of Silver Age books approach the consistently high level of condition and page quality that White Mountain copies possess. Weist would eventually become the organizer for Sotheby's comic book and comic art auctions. In that capacity, he introduced the collecting world to this fabulous discovery, offering choice samplings in Sotheby's 1991, 1993 and 1996 auctions.

Many collectors are still not aware that the collection's large body of Silver Age publications also included a small sampling of choice, early Underground Comix. It should also be said that most collectors have yet to grasp the significance of that inclusion. For most Silver Age collectors, the UG's are the forgotten books of the period, and this is a serious omission on their part.

AND EVEN FEWER KNOW AB0UT HIS COLLECTION OF SCIENCE FICTION BOOKS, H.P LOVECRAFT ITEMS (he published a zine called Lovecraftian Ramblings in the 80's), MAPS, TRAVEL BROCHURES, TV GUIDES, CAR MANUALS, MAGAZINES, ART, ETC. also in amazing, mostly unread mint condition.
