D2BUT SHOW DRESS xx7ME

in PEARL SILK

- Beautiful show dress in silk adorned with rhinestones from the beginning of the 20th century.

It is a sleeveless dress with multiple yokes of sequined pink silk, some of which are between the two layers of the skirt (photo 10). This can therefore be used as material for the restoration of damaged parts.

The outer skirt is black and it is decorated with pink gathered ribbons that border the seams and the low border. The inner skirt is in fine pleated crepe (see photos 8 and 9)

The bust is lined with an ecru canvas on which we can read a manual inscription in pencil: "Ginette", which seems to indicate that there were several identical dresses fitted to each dancer. This was Ginette's dress!

For the size, she is a little smaller than my former size 40 mannequin on which the photos were taken. Impossible to close the waist!

The main measurements are as follows:

For the jacket :

total height from the top of the strap to the bottom of the dress: 103 cm

waist circumference: 59 cm

width between shoulders 33 cm

Note that several places need to be restored, especially around the two armpits (see photos 11 and 12) and the shoulder straps.

The price largely takes into account this delicate work to be carried out.

Weight: approximately 410 grams, without packaging
