The Tajikistan 1 Somoni banknote was introduced by the National Bank of the Republic of Tajikistan in 1999. The banknote comes in green and is 141 x 65 mm in size. Featured on its obverse design are the coat of arms of Tajikistan, a globe, and a picture of poet Mirzo Tursunzoda. The banknotes reverse depicts the bank logo, the National Bank of Tajikistan building, and the flag of the country. The banknote was printed by Giesecke & Devrient and bears a windowed security thread with a demetalized text in Tajik. Additionally, it carries a watermark that reveals Mirzo Tursunzoda. This paper bill is in uncirculated condition.
