Photograph Notes: The 'Iceni Village' in the village of Cockley Cley claims to be a reconstruction of an Iceni settlement. The Iceni lived in the northern part of what is now East Anglia before the Roman occupation, 2000 years ago. After the invasion of the Roman emperor Claudius in the year 43 the territory came under Roman rule. The Iceni rebellion was suppressed in 60-61 after which year there is no further record of them.
