OLD THORENS TURNTABLES HAVE ALWAYS DRY BUSHINGS (the inner-oil became solid) AND MANY TIMES WORN ONES. CHANGE THEM AND GET MANY HOURS OF USE FREE OF MAINTENANCE AND IMPROVED SOUND QUALITY.
IT IS POSSIBLE TO REPLACE THE BUSHINGS WITHOUT TO DISMOUNT THE SUSPENSIONS. ONLY IS NECESARY TO REMOVE THE BOTTOM COVER AND PLACE A BLOCK OF WOOD UNDER THE SPINDLE HOUSING. THE TONEARM MUST BE SEPARATED SLIGHTLY FROM THE SUBCHASIS TO PREVENT RECEIVING VIBRATIONS WHEN INTRODUCING THE NEW BUSHINGS).

I have mounted the new bushings, inserting them on the male pin of the counter-plate and pushing from the top with my weight.I used a plastic hammer, just to push the second bushing in, for the last 2 mm.Thank you anyway, because it is a great kit: I have verified it.
