This is the Original (1sh) 1958 movie poster THE NARCOTIC STORY.  It was distributed by Jolf in 1958 to promote the release of the movie in 1958.  This movie poster is not a reprint nor a reproduction.  The movie stars Art Gilmore, Herbert Crisp, Joe Delro, John Murphy, Douglas Kester, Darlene Hendricks, Bob Hopkins, Allen Pitt, Patricia Lynn, and Fred Marratto,. It was directed by Robert W. Larsen

This unrestored movie poster is Folded and measure 27" x 41".   Most original movie posters pre-1985 are Folded.  This is not considered a flaw or defect.

The original movie poster is graded C8.5, Very Fine to Near Mint.  Original movie posters are graded as follows: C10 (Mint), C9 (Near Mint), C8 (Very Fine), C7 (Fine/Very Fine), C6 (Fine or Very Good), C5 (Good to Very Good), etc.  It is difficult to find any pre-1985 original movie posters graded C10 (Mint).  This original movie poster has a strong and clean appearance with great color and images.   It appears and is basically flawless, except for extremely minor creasing at the top cross Fold (see photo 5).  A cross Fold is where a vertical Fold line crosses or meets a horizontal Fold line.  On Folded One Sheet original movie posters there are usually 3 cross Folds. 

The poster is immediately ready to be framed and displayed with superior results.

We believe that this original 1958 movie poster THE NARCOTIC STORY has great value and great investment value.  Other "drug" related original movie posters from about the same period, like "MAHIJUANA" (sp) and other "drug" related original movie posters are a tad more valuable, but we believe that THE NARCOTIC STORY has its place and respectable value in this genre. In addition, the poster is in Very Fine to Near Mint condition, adding to its value and investment value.
