DINITROL 4941

Even new vehicles that have just left the automotive production line with a rust prevention coating will start to corrode over time. This is due to the effect of water and oxygen reacting with exposed metal, causing rust the familiar orange and brown ochre to appear on the surface. To prevent corrosion on your vehicle underbody we recommend applying DINITROL 4941 / Car every two years to underseal the chassis. Corrosion can quickly appear on new cars due to water collecting in plastic covers around the underbody chassis area or when the underseal applied during vehicle production starts to reveal the metal underneath. This is usually due to damage from abrasion with road debris and often stone chips causing small holes to appear in the protective vehicle underbody coating layer.

DINITROL 4941 / Car vehicle underbody chassis coating

Dinitrol 4941 / Car is a black underbody chassis coating that contains self healing properties to recover any small damaged areas within the coating layer. Once Dinitrol 4941 / Car treatment is applied to the underbody chassis area it seals and protects the surface from rust-accelerating water and oxygen. The underbody coating can be applied with a conventional undercoating gun attached to the neck of a 1 Litre schutz can or with professional airless or airmix spray equipment. The black coloured DINITROL 4941 / Car coating provides a robust universal film coating of the vehicle underbody and is also very effective at protecting high impact areas including wheel arches. The product is also widely used throughout the UK network of DINITROL Treatment Centres during a car rustproofing treatment application.

DINITROL 4941 / Car Rustproofing treatment

Due to being out of sight many drivers fail to check their vehicle underbody area for the effects of corrosion. At DINITROL we understand the importance and recommend that vehicle owners have their underbody chassis inspected every 12 months, at a local treatment centre. However due to the drivers financial circumstances or the vehicles age and resale value a professional rustproofing treatment at a DINITROL treatment Centre may not be viable. That’s why we provide D.I.Y. Car Rustproofing kit bundles that contain the DINITROL 4941 / Car Underbody coating allowing owners to protect their vehicle from corrosion. Also due to it’s great versatility and the ability to adhere onto paint and surfaces coated with a layer of PVC, DINITROL 4941 / Car remains the favourite underbody chassis coating. The popular product is used by many leading automotive manufacturers, classic car enthusiasts, commercial vehicle fleet operators, public transport providers and off road vehicle owners.

DINITROL 4941 / Car is black solvent based underbody coating

The underbody coating product is widely used in the treatment of vehicles during production, at import plants and in aftermarket applications. When applied to a clean, dry surface, it adheres to both painted surfaces and those coated with a layer of PVC or similar material. Zinc, rubber and plastics are completely unharmed by the product.
Dinitrol 4941 / Car is a very versatile OEM approved product and is also suitable for protecting spare parts, machinery and iron or steel structures in highly corrosive environments. The black solvent based product is also commonly applied to Land Rovers and off-road vehicles around the world and commercial vehicles including buses, coaches, salt spreaders, vans & trucks.
