Photograph Notes: Some many years down the line it is difficult to be sure where this picture was taken. The monorail looped through the Norwood and Eslington areas of the festival site and the sign bottom right says "You are now entering Norwood". With the help of Penny Mayes and some historic online photographs, I have determined this is the Norwood monorail terminus. The direction is helped by the three gas holders at Redheugh. The fairground on the left adjoined the north-west corner of Norwood. The Norwood site has been extensively built on with street names reflecting its use in the garden festival. However, the shape of the new development is a close match for the original festival site and I am therefore probably within 100 metres of the location. There are no signs that there was a monorail there.
