Photograph Notes: Severn Valley stalwart 7812 Erlestoke Manor leaving Arley with a Southbound train in the last week of service before her 10 year heavy general overhaul. She runs until New Year's Eve and then goes to Birmingham to be stripped down and rebuilt, in readiness for a further decade. She has travelled 80,000 miles up and down the valley since her last overhaul. Built in 1939, she did 26 years service on the mainline, followed by almost 40 years in preservation. A much loved and ultra reliable locomotive.
