A big box of vintage games full of fun for all the family.

*SCRABBLE, manufactured by J.W. Spear & Sons. Circa 1954. Fine condition.

*A PIK-A-STYK, wooden stick game, a Fentocraft Production distributed by H.P. Gibson & Sons Ltd from 1948. It comes in a Little John Drum tube with a metal lid and contains 37 wooden sticks. The method of play instructions describes another five games as well as the original Pik-a-Styk game that can be played with the Styks. Fine condition.

*Original Master Mind, a game of cunning and logic for two players. The instructions are printed in ten languages. Made in 1972 by Invicta Plastics Ltd, first UK issue. Fine condition, but with three white tiny pegs missing (match sticks could be used), see photograph, a much-reduced price as a result.

*The World's Liveliest Party Game! PIT, manufactured by John Waddington Ltd. Circa 1960. A commodity-trading game of 63 cards and an extra Bull card and Bear card. To quote the rules leaflet "The jolliest game ever invented for an informal good time." Fine condition.

*A folding board from a (football?) board game. I assume it to be from 1960 to early 1970s from the printing. Nothing more is known and is offered free with this collection in the hope it is re-united with the rest of the game and used again.

*Playing Cards, Club De Luxe, a special conjuring deck by Universal Playing Card Co., Leeds and London, circa 1950s. Containing the following fabric finished playing cards:- 23 x King of Clubs, 3 x Queens, 2 x Jacks, 1 x 9s, 3 x 8s, 3 x 7s, 2 x 6s, 3 x 5s, 1 x 4s, 1 x 3, 2 x 2s, an Ace of Hearts and a Joker. There are no instructions with the 45 cards and joker,  and I have no idea if anything is missing as it was part of a bequest. The back of the pack shows signs of something having been removed and from research it seems a Joker was probably attached. They may have been made before 1955 when Alf Cooke Ltd was the main branding and Universal Playing Card Co. appeared as the subtitle. See the excellent The World of Playing Cards website wopc.co.uk for very helpful information.

*Rommé Bridge Canasta made by ASS, Vereinigte Altenburger und Stralsunder Spielkarten-Fabriken A.-G. Stuttgart-Leinfelden, now known as ASS Altenburger a German playing card manufacturer dating back to 1765. Rommé is the most popular form of Rummy played in Austria and Germany. Bridge still one of the most world's most played card games. Canasta is a game of the Rummy family and was the most popular American game in the early 1950s. Contains two decks of 52 cards plus three jokers each. Fine condition, cards near mint, some slight foxing to the bottom box.

*An old Gold Block box tin containing 14 medium-sized counters and 166 Tiddly Winks. Also a clear box with two medium-sized and three small dices, four medium-sized counters and 15 Tiddly Winks, plus five different coloured motor cars (old, possibly 1930/40s) from presumably a board game.

*Put and Take, two dice with six-sided tops possibly made from Bakelite, some staining from age, but all sides legible. This is a game of chance.

These games were part of a bequest, but are in excellent condition and come from a smoke free home.
