| Russian gilded silver and multi color cloisonné enamel spoon by silversmith "AG", Moscow circa 1890-s. Length: 4 1/4"or 11.5 cm. Weight: 15.2 grams. Marked with the 88 Russian silver standard. The back of the spoon is worked in a multi color enamel scrolling foliate motif against a olive stippled ground. This is a nice silver-handled spoon by one of Karl Faberge's famous workmasters, Andrei Gorianov (sometimes spelled Goryanov or Gurjanov). It is a beautiful decorated enamel spoon, is solid silver with a clear 88 Kokoshnik mark for Moscow, and unclear maker's mark AG in Cyrillic. Lovely cloisonne enamel work, and style of the late 1890's and is in very good condition. Sadly not every silver collector can afford these enormous prices, so here is your chance to have a nice Faberge-related item in your collection at a reasonable cost.
