SPECIAL CHARACTERISTICS/DESCRIPTIVE WORDS:   When collecting ILLUSTRATED COVER ART one can do so by content, artist, year, theme, etc etc... with plenty of each to fill a wall or portfolio...  Prices are normally based on condition, artist, condition, theme, condition, publishing year, condition... and condition... (DO YA SEE THE PATTERN...HAHA)   Most of the covers where mailed folded (and / or folded by the owner to fit the back pocket or purse).  Those covers which have no center fold have a higher premium in any collection.  Because of the gloss paper used and the richness of inks for most covers, age wear + use from handling are very important factors in pricing (see above value line for pricing factors)

ILLUSTRATED COVER artwork is fun, exciting and well worth COLLECTING, as each year takes it's toll... the remaining covers available in the market have shrunk AND THUS those that survive consistently keep INCREASING in value..  Framed correctly with acid free techniques and quality matting, backing and frames will no doubt increase their value as the years pass.  and in the meantime one gets to derive the pleasure of enjoyment and sharing with friends..

COVER ART  works well to display not only in the home but certainly does well for any office, or business establishment..  Always getting plenty of "viewing", questions and comments...
