Single Axis Solar Tracker Controller


Here for sale is WST03-3 Single Axis Solar Tracker Controller, items include the Controller Box, Light Sensor With 3 Meters Wire and IR (infrared) Remote control, we will provide English Manual together with the items.



The controller analyzes the signal from the light sensor, then control the motor of the corresponding direction to execute positive rotation, reverse rotation and stop, and make the platform to be aligned with the sun.

Three Modes will appear during the controller's auto working, the controller will automatically switch the three modes according to different conditions. 

The three Modes are: Sunny Day Auto Tracking Mode, Night (Cloudy Day) Mode, Strong Wind Protection Mode.

Users can set the parameters and working modes by the LCD screen for actual needs.

There is an IR Remote for manual control, it can be used for testing when you assemble/use the controller the first time.
 
Extra Limit Switch and Wind Speed Sensor (Anemometer) can be matched with the controller for actual needs.

Controller Features:

1. High tracking accuracy, average tracking accuracy ≤ 1° (Actual accuracy is related to the platform’s moving speed);

2. The light sensor has a wide range of detection angle and high accuracy. It’s inside the waterproof case, waterproof, dustproof and anti-aging;

3. With LCD display which can show multiple working modes and parameters;

4. Many of the parameters can be set (Tracking accuracy, threshold value of light-sensor, threshold value of wind speed sensor, interval time of cyclical tracking, etc...);

5. With strong wind protection mode (Wind speed sensor is required);

6. Can set the platform to stay at any position at night (or cloudy day);

7. Can add extra limit switches;

8. Can be operated by IR remote control or the buttons on the controller box;

9. Reverse battery protection, overcurrent protection; standby current ≤15mA.

 

Controller Attention Matters:

1.Input Power Supply: DC 12V/24V (DC 9V~35V); Output Voltage=Input Voltage; Output Current: ≤15A.

2.The controller needs stable power supply, it can be battery or switching power supply, solar panels cannot be directly connected as power supply, unstable voltage may damage the controller. The maximum current of the power supply must be greater than 1.5 times of the total load current of the platform, because the starting current for DC motor is relatively large.

3.This controller can directly drive DC brush motor, the rated voltage of the motor should be the same as the power voltage of the controller. If use other types motor, this controller cannot directly drive, in this case additional control circuit need to be added.

4. If the total load current of the platform is greater than 15A, a relay module is needed to increase the load capacity of the controller.

5.The controller is preferably fixedly installed and will not move together with the platform. The controller is not waterproof and should prevent water from entering.



Light Sensor and IR Remote:


Light Sensor Attention Matters:

1. The light sensor should be fixed on the platform and can move together with the platform, it cannot be blocked by anything.

2. The base of the light sensor must be parallel to the solar panel or on the same plane.

3. The “East” direction marked on the light sensor must be consistent with the local geographic direction.

4. The length of the connecting wire for the light sensor must be greater than the platform's movable range. (Factory default length is 3 meters, it can be increased to 30 meters at most)


IR Remote Attention Matters:

1. The remote control requires 2 pieces AAA batteries (factory defaults no batteries inside).

2. The remote control belongs to infrared remote control, it must be aligned with the controller when using, the remote control range is ≤ 6 meters.

3. The buttons on the remote control have the same function as the buttons on the controller box.

This wind speed sensor is composed of a shell, three wind cups and a circuit module. The whole sensor has a high strength, weather resistance, corrosion resistance and water resistance, will be to ensure the long-term use of the instrument, and the accuracy of the wind speed collection. The solar tracker controller can work normally without the wind speed sensor, but if you want to use the Strong Wind Protection function, you need to use wind speed sensor, the output signal of the wind speed sensor should be voltage type, the signal output range should be 0-5V, the power voltage of the wind speed sensor should be the same as the power voltage of the controller.
