Vintage and incredibly unique collection of 3 items from the library of famous lawyer, art and manuscript collector John Quinn (1870-1924) consisting of a copy of softcover magazine called Voices In Poetry and Prose, London England, July 1919 ,Volume 2, No. 1, edited by another famous individual Thomas Moult, the English journalist and poet.  The magazine or publication was only around for a few years and promoted poetry and prose to younger audience post-war featuring numerous well-known poets, writers and regular contributors.  In this issue were works from D.H. Lawrence and even a woodcut from Elizabeth Sadler.  The magazine in itself is fairly rare but within it we discovered a letter from Voices to John Quinn which Quinn stamped as received upper right corner in Feb. 1920.  Also includes local ads.  The magazine was noting certain copies of the magazine Quinn was seeking were sold out.  It is on Voices letterhead and initialed by the manager.  Also included is a bookplate from John Quinn.  It was loose and not attached to the magazine as far as we could tell.  The bookplate was designed by John Yeats, the father of W.B. Yeats.  Magazine is 44 pgs.  A truly amazing little collection.  Conditions good magazine has normal wear including edges and some tanning with age and a few pencil notations by prior owner.  Bookplate is like new.  Letter has crease from folding and normal fading.  This will ship fast and FREE signature required.  Contact us any questions we try our best and please follow our store if you seek rare and unique.
