For sale is this vintage Murano glass Pear Paper weight or Bookend. It is hand blown glass by on of the master glass blowers from the Island of Murano. They used two different techniques to make this pear. First that started with the purple core and then added layers of clear crystal on top . This is called submerso. After that, the artisan then added each bubble to create the bullicante or controlled bubbles in the item. The pear measures 6" tall x 4" wide at the base. This would make a wonderful gift for any one who loves to collect art glass or fruit.
