This is also a rare volume. I can find no other copies of this book for sale that are in the German text.
The most wonderful thing about this book are the photographs. It is filled with spectacular black and white photos of the exposition - many are full page. Photos show construction in progress and completed buildings. The "city" created for the 1893 Chicago Exposition was one of the marvels of the day.
There are some condition issues with this copy. Perhaps a bookbinder could restore it to its former glory. It would be worth the cost. The spine covering is missing. The front and rear covers are detached. There are flowered endpapers front and rear, with the front one detached. The title page is also detached. The text begins on page 3. If you count the title page and its reverse as pages 1 and 2, that would make everything complete. But I'm not sure if there may have been a table of contents - I do not see one.
The front cover is in exceptionally nice shape - beautifully decorated. The rear cover is plain - in great shape also.
Beyond issues noted, all else very good condition overall. No interior markings. No torn or bent pages. No library markings. Binding sound. All text and illustrations clear. See photos please.
