The Gibraltar 5 Pound Banknote was introduced by the Government of Gibraltar in 2000 to commemorate the millennium. It comes in a combination of green and purple and bears English text. Its obverse features Her Highness Queen Elizabeth II, a Gibraltar candytuft flower, the coat of arms depicting a castle and a key, a 7th-century BC Egyptian vase, a gold foil, and a crown. On the reverse are dolphins, a Barbary ape, and the Rock of Gibraltar marina with buildings and boats. The note’s reverse also reflects a gondola. The paper bill contains a windowed security thread and a watermark that reflects Queen Elizabeth II. It measures 135 x 70 mm in size and is signed by Timothy Bristow. This particular note is in uncirculated condition.
