Photograph Notes: Placed in the north wall of the chancel inside St. James' parish church is this monument, dedicated to Susan and her husband Francis Smallman. They died in 1632 and 1633 respectively, and this was sculptured by Samuel Baldwin. The children of the Smallman family can be seen beneath the inscription, and this is one of the most detailed monuments I have seen.
