This fine small Tibetan prayer wheel is a lovely combination of silver and copper.  The handle is silver with a spiral wrapping of flat copper wire.  The barrel of the prayer wheel is primarily copper  a central reserve decorated with silver Tibetan script (I just now noticed that I photographed them upside down!) and with a central reeded band.  Above and below the central barrel are what look like silver moldings that resemble gables on Tibetan temples.  The base of the barrel has repoussé work that look like urns and clouds.  The top of the barrel is domed and again decorated with Tibetan script in silver and coral cabochons set in silver.  The barrel is held in place with a teardrop shaped finial.  The prayer wheel is 8.5" tall and is 2,5" in diameter (max.).  It is in good shape with a couple of relatively small dents in the handle and spins beautifully with a shell disc thrust washer.  The interior has a coil of block printed Tibetan mantras. I believe the prayer wheel dates to the mid 20th c.
