Photograph Notes: In the forecourt of Quex House [[7060233]] are these four bronze cannon. They are dated 1637, recovered in 1828, 1743 and 1759. Listed, grade II, with details at: https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1094670 Quex Park is a 19th century manor house in an estate of some 250 acres. The park is home to the Powell-Cotton Museum which has collections of stuffed exotic animals from Africa and other African artefacts, European firearms, European and Asian cutting weapons, European and Chinese porcelain, and important archaeological finds from Thanet and East Kent.
