Rare 1830s work of the well-listed French itinerant artist Charles Pierron. All of Pierron's known works are views of the Middle East (Egypt, Syria, etc.).
It is possible that Pierron was a relative (son?) of the French landscape painter, aquarellist and architect Antoine Pierron (b. 1783), who exhibited at Salon de Paris between 1819-1836. Similarly, one should not exclude that Charles Pierron and Antoine Pierron are, in fact, the very same person (namely Charles Antoine Pierron?).

Our additional images show a few works of Charles Pierron (among others, those offered at international art auction market in the last years).
