Democide is murder by government. Democide was first defined by Professor R.J. Rummel who studied all of the government murders throughout history. His best estimationof death by government is 262,000,000 victims or enough victims to encircle the earth 10 times!
One of the greatest barriers to truth is the belief that a collective some how has the ability to do what the individual cannot do.
An individual cannot murder, but somehow we make the leap of faith that a collective is allowed to? An individual certainly has the right to defend itself, so to should a nation. But if an individual or nation finds itself in his neighbors home killing people, they both are murders.
The biggest reason I feel that this detached reality exists is from the programming of our culture. Countless programs show government agents killing people and it is all done for the “greater good”. Think about all of the lawyer, cop, FBI, CIA, military shows that there are. They are always torturing or killing of some “terrorist” or “bad guy” that is against this collective. We never see why the “bad guys” turned bad, or the cunning profits made by the “good guys” or perhaps most importantly the psychological trauma on all sides of these conflicts
This cultural programming has a three fold benefit from the cunning men at the top. First, it desensitizes the masses in to passively accepting progressively brutal tactics as a new normal. Secondly, it attracts psychopaths into positions of power where they can act out on their impulses. Finally it acts as an ex post facto mantra for the guilty souls trapped into enabling this immoral collective system to think that it is “OK”. This despite the gnawing guilt that they know deep down this is not what they signed up for.
James Bond is perhaps the most glaring example of this Democide justification. An individual programmed by the collective to think he has a license to kill. A poor kid picked up by the criminal elite, brutally trained to serve the Queen and kill on command. Give him enough alcohol and women and everything is cool… right? The billions made by these glorification movies are nothing compared to the trillions made off of marching unconscious individuals into war.
It is not until we start questioning those that benefit off of this manipulation of man into murder and war can we start to become free.
It is not until we start to question why these “terrorists” exist in the first place and the root cause of past colonial collective sins that spawn such fanaticism can we start to understand the true enemy of man.
It is not until we stop hero worship and justification of war can we start turning this around.
