Never in production - OOPic EDU Board:

This one is for the OOPic fans out there.

It is an Educational Board made for the EARLY days of STEM.
It was going to be released with a student workbook geared for the classroom that focused on how to program with the Object Oriented Pic compiler.

As you can see from the pictures, the fancy artwork was provided by an overlay.  The idea was that future workbooks would have overlays that corresponded to the lessons.

Additionally, there was a socket for the Soundgin Voice and Sound Synthesizer chip, so in addition to the sound effects that the OOPic could make, the purchase of a Soundgin would make the board talk and read off the scores for the games created in the workbook.

BUT ... it was designed in late 2007 - right as the housing bubble was looming.  By Mar 2008 all OOPic manufacturing came to a screeching halt as the U.S. economy crashed.  And with it - this product.  It never saw the light of day expect for one pilot class held in Huntsville AL.

Other than the prototypes, there are only 5 of these (all production evaluation units) in existence.

Maybe someone out there wants one.  I will include a OOPic Ver 3 chip, but keep in mind, the OOPic compiler is for Windows 95.  It doesn't like to run on the new versions of windows.

By the way, a quick gimps of this board in action can be seen in my channel intro vid.
