For proper fit measure around the dogs head at the largest point and add 2-3 inches DEPENDING ON THE SIZE OF THE DOG. You just don't want it to be too tight going over the dogs ears. choke collars are measured from the end of one ring to the end of the opposite ring. The same way a metal choke chain collar is measured.

LEASE NOTE........ this collar has solid brass D-rings which allow the collar to slide easier through the rings on the twist/braided end before the collar has been "broken in".

Leather slip collars work well for general walking and for dogs that are overly sensitive to the use of a choke chain collar. They allow you to maintain control without the danger of it slipping off like a buckle collar, if the dog pulls backward.This slip collar is a size that you would use on LARGER  dogs.
