This auction is for a pair (2x) of washers for use in the BSA A75 Rocket III and the Triumph Trident T150 & T160 primary drive.  Substitute for part No. 71-2793 or E12793

These washers been manufactured from KLINGERsil C-4324 gasket material and have a thickness of 0.4mm to match the main cover gasket.  They have an o/d of 14mm and are stuck onto the inner chaincase with gasket cement - see picture.  They are essential in order to match the thickness of the main (outer) gasket - they prevent the outer cover bowing in the middle, which will happen if these 0.4mm gaskets aren't added.

NB. only the 2 washers are included - the old (long) gasket is for comparison and is NOT included.

C-4324 is based on a mixture of aramid and glass fibres with a nitrile rubber binder.  It has good resistance to oil, fuel, hydrocarbons and steam and has excellent resistance to gas leakage.  It meets standard BS7531 Grade Y and has an anti-stick finish on both sides.  C-4324 has a temperature rating in excess of 200 deg. C.  See spec. sheet.
