Don't be put off wearing leather by fear of humidity that may ruin your precious leather clothing.  All my leather jackets have survived the recent extreme humidity in pristine condition.  Cleaniness is the key.

Below are my methods that have served me well.

TIPS FOR LEATHER APPAREL CARING
No need for specialist dry cleaning
Wipe and clean garment stains/dirt with leather care cream (available at department stores, supermarkets or shoe shops) or at end of winter season, then air dry thoroughly.
I lay mine on clothes rack under the sun for half to one hour as a natural sterilization (no, it won't crack the leather as the leather cream is a moisturiser)
Hang in wardrobe WITHOUT plastic cover as leather needs air circulation
Follow the above, guarantee there will be no mould
