Die neue Ausgabe aus der Serie "Italiens Ess- und Weinkultur" ist den Apulischen Orecchiette gewidmet. Das farbige Motiv der 5-Euro-Münze in Stempelglanz-Qualität zeigt eine Auswahl an typischen Elementen aus der Ess- und Weinkultur der italienischen Region Apulien. Das Motiv zeigt Brot aus Altamura, Orecchiette-Nudeln, einen Olivenzweig und einen Weinkelch. Abgerundet wird das Motiv von dekorativen Elementen im apulisch-romanischen Stil sowie der bogenförmigen Inschrift "SAPORI D'ITALIA", dem Nennwert und dem Ausgabejahr. Die Rückseite der Münze zeigt die märchenhaften Trulli von Alberobello - traditionelle Trockensteinhütten mit kegelförmigen Dächern aus dem 14. Jahrhundert, die zum UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe zählen. Die Trulli-Häuser und eine apulische Trockenmauer werden von einem Olivenbaum, dem Symbol der Region Apulien, umsäumt. Links befindet sich ein Pumo di Grottalie, welcher das Kunsthandwerk Apuliens repräsentiert. Am unteren Münzrand sind Wellen und ein Delfin abgebildet, bei dem es sich um wiederkehrendes Symbol auf dem Taranto-Statern, einer alten apulischen Münze, handelt. Die Aufschriften "PUGLIA" und "REPUBBLICA ITALIANA" komplettieren das Design. Die Lieferung der 5 Euro Münze aus Italien erfolgt in einer Blisterkarte.

The new issue from the series "Italy's food and wine culture" is dedicated to the Apulian orecchiette. The colorful motive of the 5-euro coin in uncirculated quality shows a selection of typical elements from the food and wine culture of the Italian region of Apulia. The motive depicts bread from Altamura, orecchiette pasta, an olive branch and a wine goblet. Decorative elements in the Apulian-Romanesque style as well as the arch-shaped inscription "SAPORI D'ITALIA", the denomination and the year of issue are also included in the design. The reverse shows the trulli of Alberobello - traditional dry-stone huts with conical roofs from the 14th century, which are UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
