29.5"x79.5"
Antique Solid Wood Interior Door w/5 Panels

Please note that the 29.5"x79.5" in the title is just an estimate.  The door is not exactly that size. Please see "Dimensions"  below.

Handsome, antique,  interior door salvaged from an old, home in Northeastern PA. It's made of solid Douglas Fir or  pine, and is painted on one side and stained on the other side.

When most people hear "pine" they think of a cheap, weak, soft   wood. New pine   hewn from 10 - 20 year old trees don't have   the same insect-resistant, rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant  qualities   that  old pine, hewn from trees hundreds of years old  have. Old pine is also   much harder and stronger than young pine.

The door has a Victorian style, 5-panel arrangement with  4 vertical panels divided by a small horizontal panel. The panels are raised on  both sides.

Hardware
:
The door is not equipped with any hardware. However,  we have a good selection of  period hardware to outfit them (check out our eBay  store).

* If you would like any of the hardware holes plugged with  solid wood, please email us for a quote.

Condition: The door is strong, sturdy, and in great structural condition. it only has nicks and scratches, but no breaks, cracks, gouges, rot, warp, or any other serious issues. Most of the blemishes that it has will  disappear after sanding, prior to refinishing or repainting, and  whatever remains will be subtle, "character marks"

Swing: The hinge mortises span the thickness of the door allowing you to install your hinges on either side.

Modification: We could also modify the door to fit your opening or suite your  needs. We could make a frame, trim or add to the height or width, replace panels with glass, plug the  hardware holes, etc. Email us with a small description of what  you would like done, and we'll give you a quote.
