RARE antique 18th-century hand-colored engraving on optics, entitled "Burning Glasses and Burroughs' Machine," executed by J. Pass and published by J. Wilkes in London in 1799. Engraving measures 9 5/8" by 7 5/8" and comes with a golden silk mat, under glass, and in a wood frame, total dimensions 16.25" by 14.25". In very good condition overall - some light age spots to print, otherwise clean, with some light wear to frame and small chip to upper right corner.
