I acquired this 112-year old piece of pre-WWI European history recently from an estate sale lot of mixed coins where it must have sat untouched for years given it's nice luster & clean details. Since only 2,814,000 of these coins were minted in Munich ("D") it's safe to assume this coin's value will hold and grow steadily for century.
In regards to the pictures, capturing the exact luster of any coin with a camera as it is seen by the naked eye is extremely difficult. These pictures at 2.5-4.0X magnification are not exact but a good representation of the actual coin even though many of the surface marks are highly exaggerated and not nearly as visible and predominate when seen in person.
Thank you for looking and please feel free to email me with any additional questions or requests.
