Ceramic lamp base made by Vallauris and signed by the artist 'JIAMEA' (?). Please note that the beautiful bird and flower motifs are completely hand carved by the potter. The lamp stands 8 inches to the bottom of the brass fitting. It is about 5.8 in diameter at the widest. I bought this from a dealer in France some years ago with the thought of using it as a lamp and, therefore, converted the European standard fittings to USA standard. However, I liked the form and the carvings so much I displayed it as you see it in the pix. Please view the pictures carefully, ask all questions, request more pictures if needed before bidding as I will only refund in the event that I have grossly misrepresented this item.
