Up for sale and your consideration is one (1) pair of custom made wool/felt sound damping/dampening pads for JBL and other 1" compression drivers.  These pads are five inches in diameter and are 3/8 inch thick.  They have adhesive backing for easy installation!  These will fit JBL LE85, LE175, LE100s, 2410, 2420, and 2421 models and may fit other JBL, Altec and other horn drivers.  They also will work in Dukane 5A540, 5P350, and 5P355, as well as Coral M100 horn drivers with a slight modification.  These custom fit pads will replace your original old and rotting JBL urethane/cell foam pads which, by the way, are no longer available through JBL.  If you can find NOS or replacements, they are very pricey!!  Mine will never deteriorate and will last forever!  They also work better at sound dampening than the JBL originals!  I have used these in all of my LE85 and LE175 compression drivers and they work extremely well!  Replace yours now before that crumbling foam destroys your valuable diaphragms and voice coils!  Included in this sale are a pair of pads.  The housing is for demonstration purposes and is not included in this sale.

Please message me if you would like a different size or a custom cut.  I have three separate listings that are made for the following drivers: JBL 2425, 2426, 2427, 2440, 2441, 2445, 2446, 2447, 2450, 2451, 2452, 2461, 2470, 2480, 2482, 2485, 2490, 375, and 376.  Alaska and Hawaii message me for shipping rates.

INSTRUCTIONS:

1)After taking off housing/cap and disconnecting the leads, thoroughly clean out all old rotting foam and peel out old backing material from old pad.  Be careful with the screw driver not to damage your diaphragm!

2)Use mineral spirits or lacquer thinner to remove all old glue and residue so new pad will stick.  A small brush works well to break loose.  Be careful to not get chemicals on the outside finish of the housing, may cause damage to the finish!

3)Wash housing with dish soap and warm water to clean thoroughly and to get all chemical residues off.  Dry well.

4)Before peeling off the protective paper on your new pads, test fit and trim as necessary.  I left these a tad large so the fit would be snug.  Trim if needed.

5)Carefully peel off paper and place in position.  Press firmly and smooth over and rub entire pad to stick well.

6)If for some reason it does not stick well, a glue or adhesive can also be used.  Clear silicone or E6000 glue both work well.

7)Reconnect leads in their proper orientation and reinstall cap/cover.

Please note:  These are not CNC made but are cut by hand and are not perfect.  Most were left a little large and may need trimming!  Use extreme caution when peeling off the paper, as this can be difficult to start.
