How to Power Up the Scanner

Please be reminded that MaxiCheck Pro does not come with built-in battery and it relies on the vehicle battery to provide power. Please follow the steps below to troubleshoot "won't power up" issue.

Step 1: Connect the scanner to the DLC port of the vehicle through OBD2 included.

Step 2: Turn ignition on.

Won't Power Up Troubleshooting:

Step 1: Make sure your car has good battery level.

Step 2: Check if you turned igition on.

Step 2: Check whether PIN 4, PIN 5 and PIN 16 on the DLC port has voltage.

Step 3: Check whether the PINs on the OBD2 cable are damaged.

No communication Troubleshooting:

Step 1: Check compatibility with us or Autel engineers before purchase.

Step 2: Update the software to the latest.

Step 3: Select the correct track on the menu, eg. ABS/SrS-- USA -- GM-- 2000- Passenger Car-- Chassis -- E(Fourth digit of your VIN) -- Delco/Bosch ABS/TCS -- Special Functions-- Automated Bleed

Step 4: If it shows no communication through auto bleed, check whether it communicates with the car through OBDII.

Step 5: If no communication through OBDII, please check whether the DLC port and the PINs on the OBDII cable are damaged.

NOTE: If there are any ABS DTCs present, it will show communication fail too. Please clear the ABS codes or make proper repair/replacement first.

NOTE: For some of elder CHRYSLTER car makes, it may need CHRYSLER-16 CCD adapter(not included) to work with ABS autobleed tool to complete the brake bleeding function.

MAXICHECK PRO INTRODUCTION

Autel MaxiCheck Pro ABS Brake Bleeding Scan Tool can communicate with most post-1996 vehicles(Sedans, SUVs and Light Trucks) that are OBD2 compliant. It can perform all 10 modes of OBD2 tests but also service/special functions like Oil Reset, ABS, SrS, EPB, BMS, SAS and ABS Auto Bleed on certain vehicles.

AUTOMATED BLEED/BI-DIRECTIONAL CONTROL

Autel MaxiCheck Pro Auto Bleed Scan Tool has the capability to perform bi-directional control functions and active tests. It can command vehicle’s ECU to perform ABS Auto Bleed as long as the vehicle’s ECU is programmed to perform this task.

How To Perform ABS Auto Bleed/Troubleshooting

1. Hook up MaxiCheck Pro to your vehicle and make sure the connection is solid.

2. Diagnose the vehicle and make sure no DTC is present.

3. Put in your VIN number or select from the menu ABS/SrS- ABS- Vehicle Selection- Special Function- ABS Auto Bleed, Automated Bleed or equivalent name.

4. If you can’t find your vehicle listed in the menu, please download the Maxi PC Suite from Autel website. Then update the software to the latest and retry later.

TURN OFF CHECK ENGINE LIGHT

Autel MaxiCheck Pro can access vehicle’s PCM and perform all 10 modes of OBD2 tests. It can read and clear codes and turn off check engine light.

NOTE: The OBD-II port is usually located under the dashboard, beneath the steering wheel. You shall find a 16 PIN port. Plug the OBDII cable into the port(only one direction) and select OBDII to scan the OBD system.

NOTE: To power up the scanner, you need to plug it into the OBD port and turn the ignition on.


Multilingual Menu The default language of Autel MaxiCheck pro is English.
