Photograph Notes: This phenomenon is very noticeable in the autumnal circumstances here in the Wicklow Hills. Clearing rain clouds let in shafts of watery sunlight, and the huge surface area of wet pine needles of the forest bumps the humidity up locally as they start to dry. The hill in the right of shot is Carrigshouk; the whole is viewed from the R115 south of Sally Gap pass.
