WHAT IS OILSKIN WAX?

Oilskin is a waterproof fabric that has been in use since the 1700’s, historically worn and developed by sailors. Originally methods included coating fabric in treatments like linseed oil, tar, whale oil or paint to achieve a higher waterproof and durability factor.

Today’s Oilskin is engineered to keep the wearer dry in rain and yet still be strong and breathable at the same time. Produced from 100% cotton that goes through a wax treatment process, modern oilskin is not only high performance for wet weather & cold, but also sought after for stylish casual clothing.

CARE INFORMATION

For a spot clean, wipe down outer oilskin with damp cloth. For a full wash, hand wash in cold water and hang to dry in a cool dry place. Use Styx Mill Oilskin Wax Reproof to replenish your garment. Hot water or washing chemicals is not recommended as it will strip the oilskin of its proofing properties.

Orders sent within Australia will occur through Australia Post, Fastway Couriers, Couriers Please or StarTrack. The delivery agent is chosen at Otto's Tackle World discretion.

All orders are sent with tracking. Should you enable/request 'Authority to Leave' Otto's Tackle World is not liable for any loss or damage to the parcel.

All items sent are insured for free for loss or damage whilst in transit.

International orders will be sent using DHL or Express Courier International (EMS). The delivery agent is chosen at Otto's Tackle World discretion.

Important notice for International customers - You may incur customs charges, duties and GST from your Governments Customs Service. In most cases, any customs or import duties are charged once the parcel reaches your country. These charges are the responsibility of the person receiving the parcel and Otto’s Tackle World will not pay for or reimburse you for any of these charges and duties.

Otto's Tackle World will happily exchange or refund an order up to the original price (less shipping cost) or replace faulty items in accordance with the following processes for all online purchases.

They are returned in original condition and packaging with all tags attached. Items cannot be used, worn, or altered in any way. Failure to comply with these requirements will cause your refund to be rejected and returned to you at your cost.

Returns must be carefully packed and sent using a regular shipping service with tracking. We will not be responsible for loss or damage to returned goods.

Item must be returned within 30 days after the buyer received the item.

The refund will be processed once the item has been inspected by Otto's Tackle World. Once the refund is approved, the refund will be processed to your original method of payment. We will not refund items damaged due to typical wear and tear.
