Vintage Chinese Carved stone box 12.7 x 8.5 x 4.8 cms.

This has a small chip on a bottom corner as shown in photographs which is commensurate for age.

The symbols are raised and the carver was very skilled!

Possibly Shoushan stone

The Symbol is Shou - Longevity.

This has a lovely feel to it , with a lovely sound when you put the lid on. It’s also brilliant how the carver matched up the symbol on the lid and the base on all sides. Just a fabulous piece.
