Photograph Notes: The core of the village was used in 1949 as the location for the film 'Last Days of Dolwyn' in which the young Richard Burton had his first major film role. The film which also starred Dame Edith Evans and Emlyn Williams was also directed by Williams. A plaque on the side of the house nearest the camera commemorates the event. http://screenandsound.llgc.org.uk/cronfa/title.php?titleno=1234
