~ Circa 1928 Goldscheider Art Deco Figure Of A Japanese Lady With Attendant Fawn ~


A large Goldscheider figure of a girl in a kimono seated with a fawn at her side. It bears the impressed mark Goldscheider Keramik, Austria 386.


The piece dates to circa 1928 and was designed by Marcel Goldscheider, For reference, please see page 179 of the Goldscheider book by Ria Pinhas.


~ Condition ~


There is crazing to the figure and base, fritting to one ear of deer as well as reattachment, fritting to the tip of one shoe. There are minor chips to the corners of the base and chip to the front bottom edge of base as well as minor surface scratching.

The piece is 28 cm (11 inches) tall.
