Title: Intelligence, Power and Personality -- inscribed by George Crile
Publication: New York: Whittlesey House, C. 1941
Edition: First Printing

Description: First Printing. Hardcover. 8vo, publisher's cloth, very good, no jacket, one small whiteish spot on spine. Inscribed by George Crile and signed by him, "Dear Hal, please to accept this from the Editor and me as a report of the department of research, this volume, George Crile." The shakiness of the handwriting and the oddness of the syntax indicate some kind of deterioration in Crile's communication skills toward the end of his life, and speaks to the necessity of having his wife edit this book. A famous doctor and surgeon, known for having made the first successful blood transfusion and for co-founding the Cleveland Clinic. Very good.
