MADE BY CRAFTSMEN

Cigar City Humidors are hand crafted by expert wood crafters. From the initial cut to the multi-layered hand applied finishing varnish, each step is meticulously guided by our team of professional craftsmen. Each box is unique, but consistency is perfected. Our humidors are made in cigar country by cigar experts for cigar aficionados.

PERFECT HUMIDITY / RH

The right wood. The right seal. The right construction. Every single aspect of a Cigar City Humidor is made to meet an aficionado's highest standards. The business was born at our cigar plantation, and we love what we do. All of our humidors include a decent humidifier and hygrometer. You can also trick yours out with brand name humidity pack (sold separately) for perfectly maintained humidification. You can also experiment with some higher end digital hygrometers, some of which integrate temperature monitoring. Your Cigar City Humidor is built to maintain your perfect environment for aging cigars.

REAL SPANISH CEDAR INTERNALS

Not all wood is created equal. Spanish Cedar from the Cedrela Odorata tree lines the inside of all Cigar City Humidors. It's more expensive, and difficult to obtain in China which is why most cheap humidors either don't use it, can't use it, or call it Spanish Cedar when it's not. Spanish cedar is not only the best choice for helping regulate humidity, but it smells great and adds a mild cedar hint to cigars over time.

OKOUME (MAHOGANY'S SISTER) WOOD CONSTRUCTION

Cigar City Humidors use a thick layer of Okoume wood as our veneer, the same type and quality of wood that is common for guitar necks. It's very similar in quality to Mahogany but lighter weight and softer. Okoume is the wood of the Okoume tree (Aucoumea klaineana), a species native to west-central Africa, in particular Gabon, Equatorial Guinea and the Republic of Congo.

One humidor at a time, by people who know cigars.

The Ortiz family originally purchased their plantation in 1830. San Andrés Tuxtla, located near the gulf basin in the state of Veracruz, Mexico, is the home of Mexico finest cigars and the center of Mexican cigar export business. The Valley, colder because of its altitude, is surrounded by hundreds of rivers and streams of fresh, cool water. A few volcanoes have given the soil the richness of high potassium, which nurtures plants. The thick and nearly flawless leaves grown on the Ortiz plantation and surrounding plantations are well known worldwide for becoming beautiful wrappers. Over the years the business grew and became one of the most respected farms in the region sparking new ventures for the family.

Jorge Ortiz Alverez began cigar production in the nearby town to his father's plantation. They started with 2 workers in 1967 and by 1972 the company employed over 40 people. The brands Santa Clara Puros, Capa Flor and La Casta were a success. In 1983 a fire destroyed the successful cigar factory. Production resumed only two days after the fire. Due to drive and perseverance the business was saved. Over the years they have become popular brands across the world.

Classy Vertical Design Holds Up to 16 Cigars

This is a smaller footprint desktop humidor, with a felt bottom that sits comfortably on your finest furniture. It accommodates cigars up to 7 1/2" (for reference, Churchills are generally 7" and double coronas are typically 7 1/2"), and you'll be amazed at how classy this looks sitting on a desk, mantle, bar or bookshelf.

Accurate Analog External Hygrometer

What we designed is a perfectly constructed and balanced humidor that will last a lifetime. A perfect seal, perfect multi-layered hand finish, and perfect footprint. It comes with a precise analog hygrometer. You can also pop this one out and replace it with a higher end digital hygrometer (sold separately). This is a working hygrometer, not ornamental and will accurately help you gage the RH level.

Low Maintenance Magnetic Humidifier

The combination of the perfect seal plus a simple humidifier makes this a very low maintenance humidor. Every once in a while, add some distilled water or humidifier fluid and the self regulating humidifier, combined with the Spanish Cedar internals will keep your humidor at the optimal humidity for long term cigar storage. Alternatively we also love and recommend Boveda humidity control packs for zero maintenance perfect RH.
