The Jesus was handpainted on the plate to look like the  Walter Sallman Jesus from 1940.
This is hand painted, and was either done around 1958 per the original owner's daughter as it was a wedding present for her parents. 
The back of the plate is marked HOLIDAY China V   Made in Germany.
The painting is hand painted for sure, because you can see the brush strokes, which I tried to photograph.
The frame is plaster and has a beautiful 3D design with gold accents on white.  It is very sturdy
The plate measures inches 10 diameter.
The whole plate/frame measures approx. 13 inches diameter.
It is 2 1/2 inches tall
It weighs 3 pounds 6 ounces before any packing.
Holiday China Company in Germany did alot of handpainting and also sold the porcelain for 'hand painters'. The earliest time I could find that that were in business was in the early 1950's.
