Vintage Continental-sized (approx. 4x6") postcard with a view of the
railway bridge across the River Boyne at Drogheda, Louth, Ireland.
Students walk across a green lawn near the span.

Front caption reads, "The Boyne Viaduct, Drogheda, Co. Louth, Ireland."

Back caption reads,
"THE BOYNE VIADUCT, DROGHEDA which carries the
Dublin-Belfast railway high above the river at Drogheda, is a noteworthy
engineering work. This ancient and historic town is well situated on the
River Boyne, and although four miles from the coast Drogheda is also
a notable port, with a fine harbour formed by the estuary of the Boyne.
St. Peter's Church, an imposing Gothic-style building, was erected as a memorial
of Blessed Oliver Plunket, Archbishop of Armagh, who was martyred in London
in 1681."
